He had warned her about the book. Now it was too late.
WORD CHOICE adds to the VOICE of your writing, and CONVENTIONS can also alter the VOICE that you intend. Start some sentences with prepositional phrases or adverbial clauses, Da Flip-Flop, for better SENTENCE FLUENCY or begin some sentences with verbs.
Be sure that your IDEAS connect to the previously stated facts and story line for good ORGANIZATION and readability. Do not just read the paragraph where you want to insert your addition. Remember to reread the story from the beginning each time before writing to keep the continuity of the storyline, to allow for your addition to connect with the story. Without good ORGANIZATION, your reader is lost. When writing direct quotes, add imagery to the sentence.

| Start here (Who will be first): SamanthaD: Once upon a time, there was a twelve-year-old girl named Annabelle, Anna for short. She had long brown hair and bright green eyes. Her heart was made of beauty and kindness, and her mind was full of imagination, kind thoughts, and thoughtfulness. But most of the kids in the school felt too, "grown up" to bother with her. To them, Anna was just another student, another classmate, another boring kid that they just didn't want to burden themselves with. All except one. A boy by the name of Peter thought that Anna was the most interesting girl he'd ever met. Peter was plenty friendly, and many kids liked him. Anna, for one, had no friends, except for Peter. Anna loved to read. She loved books more then almost anything else in the world, except for her parents, (Anna was an only child) and Peter,(although of course, she didn't technically love him). She visited the local library three times a week, (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) and spent hours there, devouring one book after the other. The library was called Mr. Linden's Library, and the librarian, Mr. G. Linden, was an old, kindly man with sparkling blue eyes and a knack for finding the perfect books for kids. He and Anna were good friends. (Anna supposed that her three best friends, the only ones she had in the world, were Peter, Mr. Linden, and her cat, Cinders). Anna was scanning the shelves one day, hoping to find something about knights, mermaids, or dragons, when her eyes fell upon an old green book the color of ivy. Anna picked it up and blew off the dust. Any book that looked old and ancient was always perfect for her. She added it to the stack of the other five books she had selected already and walked to the checkout counter. Mr. Linden picked up the old book. "Anna, are you sure you want that one?" Anna was puzzled. Mr. Linden had never asked her that before. "Of course I'm sure, Mr. Linden. Why?" The old man shook his head. "I believe we've had....ah....some trouble with that book in the past. Maybe you'd like to set it here, and let me take it." He patted the table. Anna shook her head. "I'll be fine, Mr. Linden. Really. There's really no need." Mr. Linden frowned. "All right, Anna. But I want it back by Thursday. Understand?" Anna could see the sternness in his deep blue eyes, and even -could it be?- the slightest hint of fear. Anna pushed that thought aside. "I understand, Mr. Linden. Don't worry." Anna picked up the book and left the library. Late that night, Anna was reading the ivy book. It was the story of a cruel dragon who killed and captured many. Soon, however, she fell asleep over her story. But while she was sleeping, thin, ivy vines came slowly creeping out of the book. Some crept across the floor and headed toward Anna's open window, while the rest crawled toward her. One wrapped around her wrist. The others started to creep over her body. Mr. Linden had been right to want to keep the story. He had warned her about the book. Now it was too late. HualinS Anna shrieked. "What is it?" asked her mother. "This- THIS BOOK! What happened?" "It's fine. It's probably your imagination. I mean. . . I see nothing!" Her mother looked confused. Anna stopped screaming. How can her mother not see the vines? How can she not see the vines when they were right in front of her? Was she imagining? StevenL Anna ran out of bed and and flew of to the living room with her heart beating as fast you can snap your finger. Anna slowly calmed down and went back up to her room and hoped it was gone. It was still there, but now they were destroying everything they touched, but her mom just saw Anna normal room. Anna dashed to her mom and cried. "They're destroying my room!" screeched Anna. "What? Destroying your room? I just see your beautiful room." JunminA Suddenly, the vines let out an opening, Anna's mother screamed when she saw a boy come out. "Who are you?" Anna's mother stammered. "I am JunMin, and I say this place is a nice place you know." The two girls stood at one corner. Anna's mother put up her finger. "Than- thank you, now can you please tell us how you got out of that book?" JunMin noticed their frightened faces. "Sorry I came in such short notice, and the only way out of that horrid place was in the hole but I had to break the end with my vines. I hope you weren't hurt. Well, I guess I better be off then." JunMin went out the door. Anna followed and left her frightened-half-to-death mother behind. She finally found a really good book. SamanthaD: Anna's mother went back to bed. Anna decided to read the ivy book a bit more before sleeping. She continued and read about a brave knight who fought the dragon, but was captured and imprisoned in the dragon's prison. Soon, she fell asleep again. While she was, a dragon hopped out of the book. It was the dragon from the story! The dragon snapped his claws and more vines came crawling out of the book toward Anna. They crawled over her, tying her to the bed. Anna woke up and tried to scream, but vines covered her mouth. That JunMin! Could he have been lying about the vines? The dragon hopped out of the window. Anna waited, hoping that Peter, who lived next door, would see the dragon and come over. Two minutes passed. Then the dragon came back. Anna gasped. He was holding Peter in his clutches! The dragon spoke. "You are my Prisoners!" It said. HualinS Anna gasped! The dragon's eyes were burned! Then, the main character of the book, Rina, came out and sat on the couch in Anna's room. "Come into our world, Anna! You were the only person who ever liked this book! Come into our world, talk to the people there, Anna! Explore with us!" Rina pulled Anna in. The dragon followed. Anna saw something blurry. She closed her eyes, and opened them. She gasped! She was in the Fairy world! Everyone around her was flying all over the place. "Is this real? I mean. . . they are flying! Just like the book said!" Anna exclaimed. "You can fly, too, you know! Now let me tell you why you're here. . . first of all, you read the part where the evil witch and wizard took the precious Moonstone, right? You must help us get it back." Rina explained. "But why?" SamanthaD: "And I have to find Peter! I have to free him!" Anna yelled. JunMinA "Well, you'll need JunMin as he was the one that got the dragon out and stopped the witch's mother from ruling the world. He went into your world to find his other 614 companions. He was aloud to visit them but was to bring the emerald, sapphire, and ruby ore to fairy world. He didn't like the ideas about fairies and decided that he would stop the witch and live in his own secret base. One big problem is that the Moonstone also has the Sunstone. Luckily, JunMin has the Sunstone and the witch can't do anything for about," Rina looked at her watch, "29days, about one year, I see." SamanthaD: "Find him? In our world? Are you nuts? He could be anywhere! I can't wait that long! I have to help Peter NOW!" "Then I suggest you ask Mr. Linden." Rina said. "He was a former reader of this book. He'll help explain things - and help you find Jun Min." "And Peter!" said Anna. "Yes." Rina smiled. "And Peter." Rina blinked twice and Anna was in her room again. The sun was up now, so she quickly dressed, picked up the ivy book, and headed toward Mr. Linden's library. JunMinA She finally reached Mr.Linden's library. "Why, Anna did you want to turn your book in already?" Mr.Linden asked in amusement. "I am here to ask you how to find Jun Min and Peter." Anna coughed, tired. Mr.Linden explained that Jun Min would be in the forest and that Mr.Linden had to follow Anna as he was one of the so called Elemental. He also explained that he didn't have time to find out what an Elemental actually is, but knew that it had something to do with controlling ex: he could control water. JunMin was also an Elemental. He explained that you had to have read the book to be an elemental. "I'll follow you on your journey and I know they will recognize me." Mr.Linden sighed. NikitaM Mr. Linden followed Anna to her red brick house with roses draped around the door frame. Anna's mom was waiting there with a stern expression on her face and a gleam in her eyes. Anna was surprised. Her mother was never mad at her.She looked at the pale face more closely.Now, Anna knew who she was. JunMinA Her mother, was not her mother but the evil witch. The wizard flew down. "Well, let's have some fun shall we?" The wizard laughed and sent out a dark, mysterious ball. The witch sent out a light purple wave. Good thing Anna was good at Gymnastics or else she would have been caught. They are elementals! Anna shifted her hand and out of her fingers came fire. She pointed her fingers at the witch and wizard but only a spark came out. "You call that power?" The witch laughed and pointed at Anna. Suddenly out of nowhere came shooting water. The witch was hit and bumped into the hard, concrete stairs. Suddenly, a vine came out of nowhere and grabbed the witch, and the wizard. Strangely, the vines grabbed Anna and Mr.linden. JunMin came out of nowhere. "Why are you here?" StuartBa: "I came here to tell you that my name is not really JunMin. Do not trust anything Rina says all she say are lies! the is all a set up!" "Right, so what's your name?" "My name his Nathanial. I have to go now!" Nathaniel ran off, and vanished into thin air. HualinS Anna was confused! Nathaniel came back. "I left my keys!" He smiled a mysterious smile. "Keys? What keys?" asked Mr. Linden. "It's a secret. Oh! Promise me one thing, Anna. DO NOT BE FRIENDS WITH THAT RINA GIRL. She was actually once a good witch, but she turned-" He looked at his watch. "Time's running out! I got to go now, so I'll see you later, Anna and Mr. Linden! Please, just call me Nathan." Nathan vanished. "All this would NOT have happened if you just didn't read that book, Anna! And yes! It is all your fault." Mr. Linden spoke louder to stop Anna from argueing. Anna was the kind of girl who loves to argue. She would find a way to argue even though she was kind. "I'm sorry to interrupt you, but we must hurry now." A voice called from behind. KatieQ: Anna swirled beind to see who was talking. Nathaniel popped up from behind Anna. Nathaniel started to speak, "We must go now before it's to late." Anna and Mr. Linden started to run, since they were in a fairy tale they could run faster than anyone, no make that anything on earth. While Mr. Linden and Anna were running they came to a big forest. They both schreeched to a halt in front of it. Anna's eyes searched the forest, out of no where a black shadow started to approach them. HualinS It was a witch that looked awfully familiar. She looked like a nice witch. She gasped as she saw Anna. She smiled at Anna. "Annabelle! Is it really ... can it be ... Annabelle?" She ran to Anna and hugged her. "Um ... ya, it's Anna here. Who are you?" Anna asked. "WHO AM I? Don't you remember?" "Um ... no, not really." "Oh sheesh." "Can you answer my question?" "Ya, sure. My name's Melody. Milly for short." Melody smiled again. "And ... where exactly did we meet?" "We MEET? Are you crazy, Annabelle?" "I'd prefer it Anna, and no, I'm NOT crazy." "Hmmmm, see if this will help: Conningtree." "Conning what?" "Conningtree! You know ... the place we were from." "I'm from Georgia!" "You're from what?" "Georgia, USA! DUH! You know ... a place on Earth." "STOP telling me make believe stories, Annabelle. You're from Conningtree! Remember my sister, Malika? She used to be your best friend there! Come on, Annabelle ... REMEMBER THINGS." "One, it's Anna, and two ... Conningtree ... I heard of that place before! That's the place Alex and Camron killed the darkness or whatever. You know, the daughters of Aaron and Miranda, right?" "Right. Now come with me to OUR world!" A chamber appeared. Melody grabbed Anna and they appeared in front of a castle. They went in it, and instantly, they saw the queen of Conningtree, Miranda. Miranda began to cry. "Annabelle! You finally returned!" She cried. Anna thought she looked familiar, too. "Do I know you?" "Know me? 'Course you know me! I was the person who gave you birth!" Anna gasped. "Take that, no, hi - yah!" A girl kicked the statue on the wall. "Artemis! Come here! I just found your sister!" The girl came charging over. "You are ... ANNABELLE?" "I'd prefer it Anna, but ya, I am Annabelle." "Annabelle! Don't you remember me?" "Yes, well, no, well ... I did see you on TV, you know, the movie, T*Witches? You were Alex on it, right?" "Ya ... but I'd prefer it Artemis now." "Where's your sister, Camron?" Miranda and Artemis' smiles dissapeared. "Did I say anything wrong?" asked Anna. "Not at all. She was taken away to Faitchzard or something by a red witch called Ruby or so." "Ruby! I know who she is!" "I know you know. We've been watching you on every move you took, Annabelle." "EVERY MOVE? You mean ... even the time I took off my underwear and was naked when I was two?" Anna shrieked. Miranda smiled. "Yes, Annabelle. EVERY move." Artemis turned to Melody. "Melody, I'd like you and Malika in Earth, please. And I would like you girls to find my sister and bring her back from that Ruby girl's dungeon or how she calls it, The Forbidden Dungeon. After that, I would like you and Malika checking on the internet thing on Earth, and tell me as soon as you girls could, if Santos, the darkness, is still alive ... or not." "Yes Ma'am!" Melody glimpsed at Anna, then dissapeared. NikitaM Anna was confused and dazed. All these people she hardly remembered- and what connection did they have with her? Things kept getting stranger by the minute. Anyway, there was no time to ponder over mysterious things. She had another task ahead of her. Anna tried to recall a spell from one of the books she had read yes, mystical magic to make your enemies moan and groan but surprisingly couldn't. "Let me help ," exclaimed Artemis and gave Anna a a magical dagger made of fine gold with a green emerlad embedded in the front. Now go and help Melody free Ruby. Anna did as she was told hoping to go back to normal life if she helped find Ruby. She thought of the reconigition she would get and how many friends she would have. She was feeling brave, but as she neared the castle her heart stopped beating and she stood still frozen. Oh no, why had she chosen that absurd book in the first place? Anna had to brace herself for the many adventures yet to come. HualinS Anna hopped into the human world, desperate to find Ruby. She also wanted to find where that mysterious book was, but she knew it was not what she was assigned. Anna got out the Transporational Map Miranda has given her and used it to find Melody. Anna gasped! Melody was in her school! Anna rushed there. She saw a red shadow approaching her and was terrified. The red shadow was Ruby. Ruby didn't say a word, but dashed on. Anna checked the map again. Melody was in front of her in the map! Anna looked up. There, standing as still as a tree, was Melody. She had a horrified look. "What's the matter?" asked Anna. Melody said nothing. She used sign language. MELODY LOST HER VOICE! "YOU LOST YOUR VOICE?" shouted Anna. Melody nodded. She used some more sign language. "Ruby made that happen using the Lostivoce Spell?" Anna was good at understanding sign language because her father once had a bad cough and couldn't talk, and that day, Anna's mother was in Spain, so Anna took care of him. Melody nodded once more. She continued to tell Anna what has happened. "WHAT? Ruby and Saphire took you to their master or something? They then brought you here and nearly killed you? WHAT! Hey, where is Ruby?" Melody pointed the way. "C'mon, let's go get her!" .................... They arrived in a small hut in a dark place. They went in. They saw Ruby and Saphire pleading to a chair. The chair turned around. Anna gasped! It was the most ugly face in the whole world! It was full of scratches and looked odd. That odd person saw Anna and Melody. "INTRUDERS!" He yelled. Instantly, Ruby and Saphire dashed towards the door. Anna and Melody was caught by them. SamanthaD: "Ouch!" Saphire and Ruby tied the girls' hands behind their backs and threw them to the foot of the strange man. He stood above them, one hand around a scepter. He laughed. "More intruders! How plesant. Lock 'em up, girls!" So Ruby and Saphire pulled the girls to their feet and pushed them down what seemed like a long, long luundry chute. The chute ended in a jail cell in a huge round room made of black and white tiles. Two gaurds unlocked the door and pulled the girls to their feet, which surprised Anna. She thought the first cell would be their prison, but apparently not. The gaurds dragged the girls to two black tables and ran large scanners over them. "Problem wi' this one." Melody's gaurd grunted. "No voice." "Take 'er to the scholar's room." the second gaurd grunted back. "They'll fix 'er." The first gaurd dragged Melody away, while the second pulled Anna away into the darkness. He took her to a damp cell in the very back of the room, unlocked the door, and pushed Anna to the ground. He untied her hands and shackled them to the wall with chains, then locked the door and left. anna looked around. There were three others shackled to the wall in her cell, one girl and two boys, and didn't seem much older then her. Who are they? Anna wondered. then she recognized one. It was Peter. JunminA "Peter!" Anna screamed. Peter didn't seem to notice. "What's with you? Can't you hear me?" Anna shouted. Peter just sat down looking miserable. Why doesn't anybody notice me? HualinS "Peter!" Anna shouted again. Peter didn't answer. He looked at the other two kids that were in there. Anna looked, too. She thought the girl looked familiar. Very familiar. "Christal? Christal Lanenske?" Christal was in Anna's class two years ago. They never were best friends, but never were enemies. Christal was Anna's best friend for only one day: the day her best friend was sick. After Christal's best friend came back, it was like yesterday didn't even exist. Christal looked up weakly. "Oh, hi Anna." "Wish I could help you, but I'm stuck here, too." Anna looked sad. "No, it's OK, I guess. Kev, can you get my hairclip out of my hair please?" Christal asked the other boy in the chamber. The boy nodded. He bent down, and took hold of Christal's hairclip with his mouth. "Now can you try to use it to make my hands free?" The boy did as he was told. Christal's hands were freed. She helped everyone else, and they all were free. "Thanks so much, Christal!" Anna smiled. Christal realized Melody was here. "No prob. It's all thanks to Kev. Who is she, Anna?" "She's Melody, my friend." Anna replied. "Oh." "Who's he?" Anna was pointing at the boy. "He's my best friend ever since I moved, last year, I believe, Kevin, or Kev for short. Why are you here anyways?" "I believe I should ask you the same question." "You first." "No, you." "No, you." "Would somebody please go first?" Peter finally talked. "Fine, I'll go first." Christal replied. "Me and Kev and my other friend were walking back home from school. These red and blue girls - Ruby and Saphire, I believe they're called, took us and brought us to this place. My other friend escaped somehow but we were still here. Be aware, there's guards everywhere. We've been here for the last five days. We only ate patatoe chips and some leftover soda. Did you bring any food?" "Sorry, but no. We got here because, um, never mind. I'll explain later. How did you get here, Peter?" Peter didn't answer. "Never mind. How are we gonna get out?" THe friends looked at each other. Anna looked surprised. Kevin and Melody's stomach were growling. Peter didn't answer. But Christal, on the other hand, got an idea. "I know. Here, follow my steps." NikitaM They followed Christal out through the dark, damp and musty slopes until they came out at a marsh." Now do as I say and we'll all be out of here pronto." Christal's eyes gleamed red. Anna was astounded. Hadn't she seen that unusual gleam before?Then it got to her. Anna grabbed Melody's arm and shouted " Come on mel!" Melody followed Anna without an argument. They galloped through the steep slopes and came out at a stone room. There, sat the real Peter, Amber and Kevin. "I'd Knew you'd come," Peter exclamied! Anna smiled around at the rest of them. Slowly the cherised memories came back to her as she remembered her childhood. Anna knew in her heart that an adventure like this one would never come back to her so she meant to enjoy every moment of it. HualinS Anna continued to think of the wonderful memories she had. Her favorite one was when Anna's seventh birthday was held at Aunt Nora's house. Peter, and some of his friends, played a prank on Anna. Anna laughed forever. JunMinA Suddenly, Anna started laughing and couldn't stop. "What's up with you?" Peter asked. Anna started, "I....Ha ha.... don't know.....Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Melody whispered, "This room was a trap. Amber and Kelvin could be in danger. Can you grab those two long sticks and the carpet? Okay, now roll the carpet's end around the sticks and put Anna on there." Finally, they finished the task and looked at Anna. "Do you think she will be okay?" Peter asked. "The spell has to wear off sooner or later." Melody replied. "It will never end." A voice boomed from the corner of the room. The entrance and exit closed. A figure appeared. Melody recognized at once. "You're Kev's cousin Jun?" Melody asked. Jun replied, "That silly childish name wll never suit me. Good is just protecting somebody for no reason. That is how your life will end." HualinS "How will Jun never suit you, Jun?" Melody asked, "Who gave you that name?" "Parents, of course, here, let me ask you, Melodishwasher, WHO GAVE YOU YOUR NAME?" Melody's face turned red. Jun's real name, Jank, was a name Melody never pronounced right. When they were small, Melody called Jank Jun, so that's how Jun got his name. Jun was really mad, so he decided to call Melody Melo - dishwasher. Melody offened help her mother wash the dishes when she finished her homework, so that's how she got the name, Melodishwasher. "Melodishwash?" Anna giggled. Melody looked serious. "Ignore Jank, everyone. Focus back on our plan." "You finally know how to say my name! It took you twelve years to learn something?" Jun laughed loudly. "SHUTUP! Anna, you ready?" "Anna! I mean, Anna? Wait a second, that look, those eyes, you must be the daughter of Miranda!" Jun stopped laughing. "Indead she is! Will you PLEASE mind your own business? OK, Peter and Kevin, push as hard as you can!" Melody exclaimed. "Where do I come in?" Jun asked unpleasantly. Melody looked as if she wanted to slap him - and she did. Jun's face had a huge red handshaped mark. He turned red. "MELODISHWASHER! WHAT THE HECK?" But no one was paying attention. Kevin and Peter pushed Anna. But Anna fell face - down on the ground. The plan failed. "I knew it! None of your plans work, Melodishwasher! Why don't you just go back and wash dishes with Mrs. Monteiro? That's what you're good at, eventually the ONLY thing you're good at!" Jun laughed harder then ever! Melody looked furious. JunMinA "Anna is dead! Don't you see that?" Melody shouted. "Enough!" Jank shot a bright green bolt at Melody. BAM! Melody flew back and fainted. SamanthaD: Anna got up. When she saw melody she gasped, horrified, and screamed at Jun. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!" she yelled. Anna was so angry that without knowing what she was doing, she held out her hands and yelled, "SANASLA!" A bolt of purple light shot out of her hands and hit Jun. BAM! He lay on the floor, just like Melody. Suddenly big, clomping footsteps could be heard all around. "You set off the alarm!" Peter exclaimed. "Run!" yelled Christal. "Melody, wake up!" Anna exclaimed, shaking her. Melody sat up. "Come on, let's go!" Kev exclaimed. He grabbed Melody's hand and they ran off through the passageway. After a while they came to the opening and were looking out at the large, vast land. BOOM! It was the odd looking man who had ordered Anna and Melody to be locked up. "So, you escaped my prison, did you?" he said. "No matter. But YOU!" he pointed at Anna. "You are the one i have been looking for!" "M-m-m-me?" Anna stammered. "Yes, you!" said the man. "Come, let's do some explaining, shall we?" He snapped his fingers and the children found themselves in a throne room, watched by gaurds. "I am Dalstanry Halstan, king of all evil in this land. At least, I was. I slowly ran out of power. But you! You, Annabelle Sorenson, have the most power I have ever seen! You shall find the crown of evil at the top of Mount Tamalt, and then when I have the crown, I shall rule this place!" "But who says I will get this crown for you?" Anna said. "I do." said Halstan with an evil grin. He snapped his fingers and Melody, Peter, Kev, and Christal were surrounded by gaurds. Each gaurd put a silver ring on their fingers, except for Anna. Peter tugged at the ring. "It won't come off!" he told Anna. Instantly, Peter's and the other children's hands turned to ice! "Of course." said Halstan." If you do not get the crown by the end of the day, your friends will be frozen solid!" HualinS Anna didn't want to do it, but her instincts told her to. Anna set off to Mount Tamalt, along with the bag she was aloud to carry. Inside the bag, she had some sort of gadgets. The Lazar Bling, to cut stuff, the Protective Umbrella, to avoid snow, the Chewable Gum, that will let you go in water, the Candyish Suit, a candy suit that can make her transform, and a little phone that she can call to Halstan. Anna ran towards the mountain. There are a lot of guards, but she managed to avoid them. Finally, she reached the mountain. She gasped! It was more than thirty stories high! She read the sign at the front: Mount Tamalt 34 stories If you want to go to the story ahead, you must battle a witch or wizard. If you lose, you must start all over again. Anna knew she was doing this to free her friends. I must be brave, she thought, I can do this! I know I can! Suddenly, her phone rang. It was Halstan. "Annabelle Sorenson! I sent two of my trustiest advisers to help you! They're right behind you!" Anna turned around. They were two frightened-looking kids. Something told Anna that they were forced to come here, too. "Hi, my name's Anna." Anna greeted. The boy looked unsure of what to say. The girl ran and hid behind the boy. "And you are?" Anna asked. The kids didn't answer. "Please answer me, I would like to finish this job quickly to save my friends." "M-m-my name is, um, Chad." The boy looked nervous. The girl said nothing. "Nice to meet you, Chad. Can I get your name, please?" Anna asked with politeness. The girl still didn't answer. Could she not talk? Did she have to use sign language to communicate? The girl finally talked. "Kaeligh." She talked softley. "Hola, Kaeligh! You guys are sisters and brothers, right?" Kaeligh nodded. Chad shook his head. "Is that a yes or a no?" Kaeligh and Chad looked unsure. "Yes." Kaeligh replied. "No." Chad exclaimed. "Never mind about that. let's find a way to get to the top." Anna shook her head. "I know a way." Kaeligh's soft voice replied. "What way?" "We could disguise as a person that works there." "Using my Candyish Suit?" Anna suggested. "Exactly! OK, now, here's the plan." Kaeligh began. "Now, you guys, this is only gonna work if we all do this together. Are we in?" "Yes!" Chad agreed. Anna thought for a moment. "I dunno, it's a big risk, and we only have five hours. If we're hungry, what could we do? Starve?" groaned Anna. "I have some Onion Rings, Goldfish, and French Fries. As drinks, I have a whole bag of apple juice that I provided." Chad explained. They all looked at Anna. "Fine. I'm in." Kaeligh, Chad, and Anna began their risk. SamanthaD: They began climbing up the mountain with the suit for protection. After climbing for ten stories, they saw a sign that said, 24 Stories to go. To get through the next five you must get through the tangled forest. For the next five you need to cross the rushing river. For the next ten you must get through the avalance fields. And for the final four you must battle the Dragon of Doom. It said, in small print, at the very bottom, Disguises do not work on this part of the mountain. Anyone who tries to get past the dragon with a disguise will be killed. Just then, Anna's phone rang. When she opened it, a picture showed on the screen. It was Halstan. "Tick Tock, Annabelle!" Halstan said. "Time's running out!" He stood back to reveal Anna's friends. Every one had their right arm, shoulder, and right part of their chest turned to ice. HualinS Anna took back the disguises. They went to the forest. The vines were tangeling them! Kaeligh screamed. Chad and Anna looked back. She was covered with blood. "Kaeligh!" Chad screamed at the top of his lungs. She dissapeared. Suddenly, a logo appeared out of nowhere. If your pal or someone you saw is gone, you must find them last at the Dragon of Doom within an hour or else they will be gone FOREVER. Anna and Chad were so scared! "Don't worry! We'll get through this. I promise." Anna comforted him. A tear dropped from Chad's eyes. "I promise, Chad!" "No, it's not that. Mother made me promise I would take good care of Kaeligh. And now, and now, and now," "You lost her." Anna finished up. "Ya. Mother told me Kaeligh was too young, too imature, but I promised I'd go with her everywhere. Even if it means death, and I, and I, and I," "You broke the promise." Anna was getting bored. "Bingo. I broke the promise. Mother would never let me go. I can't even take care of my own sister." "Aha! So Kaeligh IS your sister! I knew it!" Chad looked serious. "Are you happy?" "No, of course not! Come on, we gotta find Kaeligh!" "Anna, do I know you? You seem more and more familiar!" "How did you get here?" "That evil dude captured Kaeligh, so I followed. He forced us here, too." "No, I don't know you." Anna looked suspicious. "Oh. You seem, you seem, you seem, familiar. Your last name, please?" "Sorenson." "AHA! My last name is Sorenson, too! We're a family, Annabelle, we're a family!" "Are we gonna find Kaeligh or not?" JunMinA "But there is a problem. I don't know how to say it though." Anna rolled her eyes. "Jack is my older cousin. He's the one that created the Dragon of Doom to protect the crown. He's the one that created the ring to protect me and harm your friends." Anna froze. If Chad is my cousin than that means my older brother that dissapeared was....... "Look out!" Anna was disturbed as a twig fell and hit her legs. She tripped and fell. Bam! HualinS She dissapeared, too. Chad looked worried. Anna fell on the hard floor. "Annabelle," a voice called. Anna turned around. "You look awfully like me! Are you, Mom?" "Annabelle, do you know where you are?" Miranda asked. "Um, no, not really." "You're in the Dragon of Doom. That's where you see your past. Here, Annabelle. Travel in time with me." Anna and Miranda arrived in front of a kingdom which looked like the one from Conningtree, but it was much more newer. They went in the door. There they saw the younger Miranda and a man that was really handsome. There stood Prince Aaron, Anna's dad. Miranda and Aaron were dressed in wedding clothes. Miranda's gown was the most beautiful gown ever. Aaron's suit made him look even more handsome. They walked into the garden for their marriage. Anna and the older Miranda followed them. The garden was gorgeous. Flowers were blooming, people were smiling, and best of all, there was a rainbow high above. When Miranda and Aaron were declared husband and wife for life, fairies appeared. They each gave them something good. The first fairy, Beauty, gave their children they would have beauty. The second fairy, Singie, gave their children an excellent voice. There was one more fairy, but then something evil happened. A fairy that wasn't invited appeared. She got really mad and gave their children they're going to have a present, too. "Your children will be in great danger. One might even die. KABOOM!" She dissapeared. The last fairy then gave her wish. The children of Miranda and Aaron won't die, but they will be in great danger. Anna and Miranda traveled some more and found themselves in the castle. Artemis and Arinasy, or Camron, were fighting the darkness. It was getting stronger and stronger, until, "Anna!" It was Chad. "I finally found you! Oh, hi, queen Miranda, I found Kaeligh, too! Let's go and finish this job!" Anna let go of Miranda's hand. JunMinA "Is that all true?" Anna cried and sobbed. She had never beem more afraid. "Your older brother Jank will help you. The only problem is that he can only help you after you at least hurt the Dragon of Doom." Miranda replied. Chad and Kaeligh looked at her curiously. "You encouraged us to fight them. We can't do this alone." HualinS That's right! Here, follow me again to look back in all of your pasts, shall we?" Miranda asked. The friends nodded. They appeared in 1996, when Anna was born. Chad, who was about nine years old then, was holding Kaeligh, who was about six years old then. But there wasn't only Chad and Kaeligh there. There were four other girls, and five other boys. The king of Conningtree was aloud to have more than one wife. So those were their children. Anna noticed Artemis and and Arinasy. They were both dressed in red gowns that were sparkling in the light. Artemis was smiling. Arinasy looked tired. A boy who looked not much older then 16, ran to the hall. He was late. "Aidan Faralcon! Why are you late AGAIN?" Anna heard the royal manager shout out. Aidan looked bad. He wasn't wearing the right clothes. He was wearing a t-shirt with monkeys and bananas on them. The king looked furious. "You are wearing that childish t-shirt and those pink pants for my daughter's celebration? Guards! Bring him down to jail!" Demanded King Aaron. But at that moment, the baby Anna began to glow. She floated over to Aidan and touched him. At once, he was in the right clothes. Queen Miranda fainted. King Aaron was shocked. Aidan turned to the king. "Am I still sent to jail?" He asked shakely. But something told the king no; Anna's cute face immediately grouchy to those words. "Um, no, I guess." "Thank you, your majesty." Aidan bowed. "Don't thank me, you fool, thank my daughter." The king smiled unpleasantly. "Thank you, your highnest, for actually saving my life." Aidan bowed much more lower to the floating-in-air Anna. Anna smiled. She floated back to the cradle and was wearing a cute face again. They appeared in 1999 next, where Queen Miranda was holding Anna. They were being chased. The king was with them, carrying a sword. "What can we do to Annabelle? She'll get shot by those feasty Venus aliens! They want her, not us!" Queen Miranda wailed. "There's only one way. We have to get her into another portal planet. Randomly." King Aaron replied. "What if it's Venus?" "Let's just hope not. It may be the little dot I see everyday with my hydroscope." "It's called Mars." Miranda hesitated. "Who cares." "But what will we do then? We can't leave, Conningtree is depending on us, Aaron! What CAN we do?" "We'll just have to fight for our lives. Listen, Miranda! I hear footsteps! They're here!" Aaron whispered. Miranda and Aaron used their powers to make a portal. They kissed Anna one last time and let go of her in the portal. The portal dissapeared. Footsteps can be heard. They got out their wands and swords, which were no match for the Venus aliens' guns. Miranda was going to get hit, but Aaron sacrifised himself. Aaron was shot on the hands, and Miranda teleported herself to Jupiter. "Stop!" Kaeligh shouted. "It's like watching a horrow movie!" Anna's telephone rang. It was Halstan, again. "Just to warn you, you have twenty minutes left." He stood back. Everyone's legs were frozen. SamanthaD: "You must go." said Miranda. "The crown is in the cave. Call Halstan when you are done, Oh, I wish you didn't have to save your friends. Then we would be safe." She clapped her hands. Anna, Kaeligh, and Chad were in a cave. The crown, studded with diamonds and rubies, sat on a stone. Anna slipped the crown into her bag. They ran outside and Anna called Halstan. "Okay. I've got the crown. Now GET US OUT OF HERE!" "That was a close call, Annabelle. Take a look." He stood back. Everyone had their necks and below frozen. "WILL YOU GET US OUTTA HERE ALREADY!" Halstan snapped his fingers. Anna was in the throne room again. Chad and Kaeligh were gone. "Now, Anna, give me the crown." "First free my friends." "GIVE ME THE CROWN, OR I WILL FREEZE YOUR FRIENDS NOW!" Anna gave him the crown. Halstan snapped his fingers. A gaurd stepped forward, grabbed Anna's hand, and pushed a silver ring onto her finger. Instantly, Anna froze up to her neck in ice! "HEY!" Anna yelled. "YOU SAID YOU WOULD FREE THEM!" "I said no such thing," said Halstan smoothly. "I said if you did not return I would free them. The thing was I secretly planned to freeze you all anyway. I no longer need you." "YOU TERRIBLE, AWFUL, HORRIBLE-" But the ice had covered her mouth and she could no longer speak. "And now," said Halstan, "I shall RULE!" He put on the crown. "ANNA!" But Anna did not know who had said it, nor what was going on. She was feeling cold all over and could no longer think properly..... JunMinA Suddenly, Anna zoomed back to1991. She could see the little Jank with King Aaron. "Jacob, Jank was the real name, you have to bring Kaleigh and Chad to Earth. Take the crown with you and protect it from Halton, the Venus king. Anna is too young to follow you through the dimension gate. She will die of weakness." Jank started crying. "Don't worry your mother and I will be with you even if you die. Protect Kaleigh and Chad. Even if it means to hurt your or anybody else's friend." Anna started getting angry and noticed that Jank was defreezing her. "Anna, we have to stop Halstan now!" SamanthaD: Anna came to and found herself still in the throne room. Time had stopped. Anna's friends had looks of horror on their faces, the ice still up to their necks. The gaurds stood motionless in the room around Halstan, who was holding the crown just inches away from his head. If Time was still going, he would have put the crown on his head and begin ruling the Universe. Anna took another look around and saw......herself. She was looking at herself, the ice covering her nose, her face pale and eyes closed. Jank stood nearby. "Come on, we need to find Kaeligh and Chad." he urged. "But I thought King Aaron said I was too weak." "You are. But your Mende isn't." "My what?" "Mende. It's like your soul." "In what ways?" Jank pondered the question for a moment. "A normal human being cannot part from his soul. It's inside him. But you are not normal. You are a Anlay Sorceress, which means that you are a powerful girl who is not evil. And a Anlay Sorceress can split herself. The first half of herself is the body. Time stopps when a sorceress splits herself, and her body is left behind, like you see there." He gestured to Anna's body. "But the other half, the Mende, is made up of the girl's soul. Imagine that you could split yourself and one half could go around doing things, while the other stays behind. You are in your Mende form now, and can use that form to get into Venus. Kaeligh and Chad are his servants there, because Halstan no longer wants them." "All right then." said Anna. "Let's go!" "I can teleport us there - I'm in my Mende form too. I am an Anlay Sorceror. You also should probobly know that the evil Sorcerors and Sorceresses like us are called Kalsay Sorcerors and Sorceresses. Oh, and one more thing. It might be hard to get into Venus, because the gate to the palace is gaurded by armored tigers." "WHAT?" HualinS "Exactly. Do you still wanna try, though?" Jank asked. Anna thought for a while. Would it be dangerous though? No, not really. Anyways, she wanted to take the risk and be cool about it. She nodded. Jank gulped. He didn't want to go at all. "Sup, Jank? I thought you wanted to go!" Anna laughed. She didn't mean to be rude, but she was just so surprised that a boy, who's usually brave, is actually afraid of tigers! Jank turned pink! He gulped once more, bit his lip, and agreed to take the risk. Anna and Jank arrived in Venus, starving. They had been flying for the past three hours. "Where's his palace?" Anna asked suspiciously. Jank took out his map of Venus. Though he took out the wrong one; it labeled "Map of Neptune" on it. He switched it back. He pointed at a palace nearby on the map. He then pointed at the REAL palace. "There it is! Oh no, look!" Jank pointed down the hill. His face turned green. And at that moment, Anna knew. She knew why he was panick-striken. More than fifty tigers were there, guarding the huge palace that looked like it was there for decades already. Anna gulped. She didn't want to go in. She couldn't go in. But she had to. She must to find Kaeligh and Chad. Jank knew she was right. He leaned back, tightened the sack he was carrying, inhaled, exhaled, then walked one step forward. Anna shrieked! Jank turned around to see what happened. She was surrounded by a boy and a girl. Jank did not looked scared, though. He smiled. "Anna! Old friend, you don't know us?" The boy asked, his voice sounding familiar. "CHAD! And you, KAELIGH!" Anna gave the two "old" friends a big hug. Kaeligh's smile grew as large as a sun. Chad, however, looked tired. "What's wrong?" Jank asked. "We escaped, but didn't know where to go. That person, the owner, forgot his name, was treating us badly. So we ran away. We knew you guys would come, so we waited three days, Anna, THREE DAYS." Kaeligh's voice was as dry as sand. AustinHe "Three days! How did you survive? And why is all this magic wizzard stuff so complicated?" Anna had so many questions. Why they bursted out at this exact time she didn't know. She couldv'e asked anyone she wanted these complicated questions. Why did she ask these paticular people? She was so excited to see them that she didn't relize Kaeligh's dry voice. "Please hold of on the questions." Chad's voice was even drier. Then Anna realized it. Chad had been letting Kaeligh have more water than he had been drinking thus, he was more thirsty. Then, something happened. Anna felt it. Pain. Pain that seared through her. It had started on her forehead. But, strangley enough it spread all over her. She suddenly couldn't take it anymore. What it was she didn't know. But suddenly everything was cold. she saw him. That somewhat familiar man. That was it! It was Mr. lindin. She ran up to him, in front of him actually, but strangly enough Mr. lindin didn't notice her. He was mumbling as if he was expecting her to be there. This is what Anna heard: "Must finish it...........vines wern't enough.............must kill Anna..........I hoped it wouldn't come to this but she must be stopped." She screamed for what seemed like an hour. Then suddenly the coldness left. She was back. "What happened? What did you see? Why were you twitching and flailing? Oh, by the way thanks for the juice." It was KaeIigh, voice fully renewed. "He's coming to kill me," She replied in a voice more queit than a whisper |
